This organization has a 15 member (non-paid) committee. It is free standing/separate from the Pharmacy State
Board. CIPP is a committee of the Kansas Pharmacists Association. KPhA  provides staff support.This organization
has a written funding contract with the Board of Pharmacy that is renewed annually. It has enabling legislation:
K.A.R. 65-4921 through 65- 4930: “Risk Management” statute enacted in 1986. CIPP does not publish a newsletter,
however it does include information in the KPhA monthly newsletter or quarterly Journal.

What about funding? The organization charges a $50/month client fees.  It does receive funding through license
renewal fees: ~ $35,000/year. Other sources of funding: Grants for educational programs.

Active clients include: This program assists pharmacists and pharmacy students who have any illness or problem that
could impair their practice. It is not limited to chemical dependency.
