Incomprehensible Demoralization By Jared Combs
Jared Combs’s Incomprehensible Demoralization: An Addict Pharmacist’s Journey to Recovery is a riveting story.
Jared was born in Hazard, Kentucky. He attended pharmacy school at the University of Kentucky, and graduated in 1996. Upon graduation, he returned to Hazard to practice pharmacy and married high school sweetheart, Darcey. After less than four years of practicing pharmacy, two arrests, and two lost jobs, he received the gift of sobriety in October of 2000. The family then moved to Lexington, Kentucky shortly thereafter to get away from the seeming epidemic of drug abuse in Hazard and due to the scarcity of would-be employers. Today Jared practices pharmacy at the University of Kentucky Medical Center inpatient pharmacy. He is a proud daddy of 3 beautiful children: Cade, Kalin, and Allie Grace. He continues his journey of recovery of nearly 8 years, maintaining sobriety through AA meetings, prayer, and a gracious God.
