 John Lee Sauer

     October 21, 1942 - March 15, 2017


John was born in Oregon City, Oregon. His parents were John O. and Lois Sauer. Surviving him are his wife, Linda; his mother, Lois; daughters: Wendy (Scott) Stahlberg, Kerrie (Andy) Lally; grandchildren: Sara (Andrew) Davis, Hanna Christensen, Travis Stahlberg, Ben Stahlberg, Josh Stahlberg, Emma Stahlberg; and three great-grandchildren. He attended South Salem High School and Oregon State School of Pharmacy. He owned his pharmacy in Hubbard and retired from Mt. Angel Drug in Mt. Angel. He was also the pharmacist for Benedictine Nursing Center for many years. He loved to ride motorcycles, hike, ski, canoe, square dance, round dance, and teach ballroom. He was a Jaycee, on the school district budget committee, committee for the first bilingual project of Woodburn, was a mentor for the University of Utah School on Alcohol and Other Drug Dependencies, Marion County Alcohol and Drug Planning Committee. Rosary at 10:30, Mass at 11:00, Mar. 24 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Angel. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Benedictine Nursing Center or St. Mary's Parish, Mt. Angel.
