Daniel Fred is the project coordinator for Nevada’s Recovery and Prevention Community (N-RAP) at the University of Nevada, Reno. Along with coordinating N-RAP for the Center for the Application of Substance Abuse Technologies, he teaches the introductory class for CASAT’s 18-credit minor in Addiction Treatment Services. He is in the process of replicating the N-RAP program at Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno, Nevada, as well as the College of Southern Nevada and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He is a certified peer recovery coach trainer and has incorporated recovery coaching into N-RAP.
Daniel graduated from Texas Tech University in 2005, where he was a member of the Center for the Study of Addiction and Recovery. He then moved to Reno and co-founded the Nevada House of Prayer, where he was the collegiate director until 2011. Daniel has his masters of science in human development and family studies with a specialization in addiction treatment services from the University of Nevada, Reno.
